Postulancy

The postulancy of our Lady Seat of Wisdom, Delegation of Nigeria is in Abatete community in Anambra state. It is a community within a community. The serenity of the community supports the postulants as they observe and reflect on the Dominican life. The atmosphere offers them the opportunity for silent prayer, reflection and other activities that help their integral formation. Postulancy lasts for a period of one year. This stage is lived in the community, accompanied by a sister in charge of the postulants in collaboration with two other sisters who help them to discern their vocation.

It is a period of discernment in which the postulant, who feels herself called to follow Jesus in the religious life, evaluates the authenticity of her call, gets to know the community style of Apostolic Life and acquires the maturity needed to make a responsible choice.
